Text, headings and expandable content

How to build a text section with headings, lists and a highlighted notice, and when to use expandable content, naming rules or a table instead.

Steps

  1. Add a Text section

In the Sections on this page list, click Add new section, choose Text in the Text and data group and name the section, for example “Tone of voice”. The name appears as the section heading on the site.

  2. Write a short description

The Description in the left column field appears on the site in the left column, below the heading. One or two sentences summing up the section are enough. The field supports bold and links.

  3. Write the main text

Write the main content in the Text field. The editor toolbar offers:

    • Heading and Subheading to structure longer text,
    • bold and strikethrough,
    • bulleted, numbered and task lists,
    • links to a manual page, a website, an email address or a file,
    • a horizontal rule, inline code and code blocks,
    • clear formatting.
  4. Add an info box

To highlight something, fill in Info box text and choose Note, Tip or Warning in Info box (highlighted text). The box appears in the left column below the description – for example, “Never distort the logo.” as a Warning.

  5. Save and publish

Click Save and switch the section from Draft to Active.

How to tell it worked

On the site, the heading, description and info box appear on the left, and the main text with its headings and lists on the right.

Expandable content (accordion)

The Expandable content (accordion) section suits FAQs or detailed rules that do not all need to be visible at once. Each item has a Title and Expandable content, so visitors open only the one they need.

  • Add an image above the accordion – shows an image above the items in the aspect ratio set in Image aspect ratio.
  • Buttons below the expandable content – a link, a manual page or a file to download.

Writing names and texts

The Writing names and texts section shows the correct and incorrect forms side by side. In Rule type to display, choose:

  • Writing names (in colour, without formatting) – for name forms, for example ✅ “Visualbook”, ❌ “VisualBook”, “Visual book”,
  • Writing texts (more detailed text formatting) – for longer samples where formatting matters, such as how to write a date or a phone number.

A Writing rules page holds only this section. On content, Logo and Typography pages, you add it alongside other sections.

Table

The Table section is for data in rows and columns – print formats, dimensions, product codes. Add, duplicate and drag rows and columns directly in the Table field; the first row is the header.

Table style offers Default, Horizontal lines, Vertical lines and Grid. Below the table you can add Text under the table, buttons and expandable content.

You can also edit table cells directly on the site – see On-site editing.
