Page groups
A page group puts related pages behind a single home page card. Use it for print materials, campaigns or a product line.
What you will have
A “Print materials” group with Business cards and Letterhead cards, reachable from the home page.
Steps
Create the group
In Overview → Content, click Create new page, choose Page Group, enter “Print materials” and click Create page.
Add pages to the group
In the group’s Content tab there is a Pages in this group list. Create a new page with Create new page. To move an existing page in, open it, choose Move page from the Settings menu (cog icon) and pick the group.
Set up the cards inside the group
Open the Cards on the page tab. Under Large cards and Small cards, click Select and pick pages from the group. Optionally fill in Large cards section heading and Large cards section description; small cards have the same fields.
Set up the group’s own card
On the Content tab, in the right column, choose a Card preview image and fill in Description of this page’s card. Click Save.
Put the group on the home page
In Overview → Main page cards, add the group as a large or small card and save. See Home page cards.
How to tell it worked
On the home page, click the “Print materials” card. The group page opens with the Business cards and Letterhead cards.
A group, or one page with sections?
| Page group | Content page with sections | |
|---|---|---|
| Best when | Each topic stands alone with its own content (business cards, envelopes, roll-up) | Topics are read one after another on one page (photo rules and examples) |
| Visitors see | A hub of cards, then the individual pages | One long page |
| Address | Each page has its own, e.g. /print-materials/business-cards | One address for the whole topic |
A group inside a group
A group can contain another group, for example “Print materials” → “Office stationery”. A third level can’t be created or moved in – the panel says: “A page group cannot be nested more than one level inside another page group.”
Sections, locking and navigation in a group
- A group has no sections of its own. Its content is the cards of the pages inside it.
- You can lock the whole group with a password on the Password tab – see Lock a single page.
- Pages in a group show up in the sidebar navigation only if they have a card inside the group.
