Email access and company domains
This page covers locking with a company email: everyone with an address in your domain gets in, with no shared password. For the other ways to lock content, see the overview in How access works.
How verification works
- The visitor enters their email, for example
jane.smith@company.com. - Visualbook checks that
company.comis one of the allowed domains. If it is not, the visitor sees “This email is not allowed”. - An email with the subject “Your verification code” (for the whole manual always the Czech “Váš ověřovací kód”) and a six-digit code arrives at that address.
- The visitor types the code and is in. Safari and iPhones usually offer to fill in the code from the email automatically.
You do not keep a list of individual people. Anyone with access to a mailbox in an allowed domain gets in – including a colleague who started yesterday.
Where to enter domains

The fields work as tags: type a domain and confirm it, then add more the same way. Visualbook treats @company.com, www.company.com and company.com as the same domain.
Public mailboxes cannot be allowed
Anyone can create an address on a public mailbox, so such a lock would protect nothing. The panel will not save such a domain and shows “Public email domains (gmail.com, ...) are not allowed.” These domains are blocked:
gmail.com, googlemail.com, yahoo.com, yahoo.co.uk, hotmail.com, outlook.com, live.com, msn.com, aol.com, icloud.com, me.com, mac.com, mail.com, protonmail.com, proton.me, zoho.com, yandex.com, yandex.ru, seznam.cz, email.cz, centrum.cz, atlas.cz, volny.cz, post.cz, tiscali.cz, quick.cz, azet.sk, pobox.sk.

Password and email together
- The whole manual offers email first. People with the password click Unlock with password.
- A page offers the password first. For email there is an Unlock with email link.
- Files and links have a Password / Email switch in the dialog.
Who verified and when
The panel records sign-ins to the manual by email, file downloads after email verification and failed attempts. You will find them on the panel's main page, on the History tab.
If the code does not arrive
- Ask the visitor to check their spam and promotions folders.
- A company filter may hold back mail from unknown senders. Ask IT to allow the sender
info@visualbook.pro. - Change email fixes a typo in the address, Resend code sends a new code.
- The code arrives without a space, such as
178705. If the visitor types it with a space, Visualbook accepts it too.
