Analytics
The panel shows which manual pages people open, where they come from and which files they download. That tells you whether the manual serves the people it is for.

Where to find the statistics
Click Analytics in the panel menu. Statistics are included in every edition. The data stays on the manual’s server and is not sent anywhere. Accounts with the Admin role see Analytics; the Multibrand editor role does not have it in the menu.
At the top, set the Period (default Last 30 days), the language in Show data for in a two-language manual (except on the Devices and Sources tabs) and the sub-brand in multibrand. Use Download to save any chart as PNG, for example for a management report.
What each tab shows
| Tab | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Visits | visits over time, most visited pages, share of language versions, list of all visited pages |
| Devices | desktop, mobile or tablet, browsers and operating systems |
| Sources | where visitors came from – source type and domain |
| Downloads | most downloaded files, downloads by file type and by page, color exports, AI exports |
| Links | clicks on internal and external links in the manual |
What is counted and what is not
- Manual visits are counted per day. The IP address is stored shortened, without its last segment.
- You and your colleagues are not counted while signed in to the panel, so checking your own edits does not skew the numbers.
- Visits to a static export on other hosting and reads through the AI connector are not counted.
- Views of a locked manual’s sign-in page are not counted.
Questions the statistics answer
| Question | Where to look |
|---|---|
| Does anyone read the new Tone of voice page? | Visits → list of visited pages |
| Do agencies download the print PDF or only PNG? | Downloads → most downloaded files |
| Do people open the manual from the intranet or from email? | Sources |
| Is it worth tuning the manual for mobile? | Devices |
| Is the second language version used? | Visits → share of language versions |
These statistics do not replace marketing analytics for your corporate site. They are operating numbers for the manual: what people read, what they download and where they stop.
