Designer, Studio and Company editions
All three editions are the same Visualbook with the same features. They differ in who we invoice and who owns the manual, how many editors and how much storage are included, and the extra services that come with the Company edition. Prices are on the pricing page.
How the editions differ
What decides the edition is who we invoice and who owns the manual – not the number of pages or features.
- Designer – for a freelance designer who builds a manual for a client and whom we invoice as a sole trader. The designer owns the manual.
- Studio – for an agency or studio that builds manuals for clients. We invoice the agency, which owns the manual. It includes more editors and more storage than Designer.
- Company – for a company building a manual for its own brand, or when the client pays for the manual directly. The company owns it. Also included: training, import of an existing manual (logos, fonts, colors) and premium support by phone and online.
Every edition has the same features: unlimited pages and logos, the AI connector, exports, multibrand, search, visit statistics, password and email locks, and a manual in up to two languages.
What you can add
You pay for Visualbook once, with no monthly fees. When you need more, you buy only what’s missing – without changing the edition:
- a pack of several Visualbooks for designers and studios who build manuals for multiple clients,
- more editors when the accounts included in your edition aren’t enough,
- more storage for files, logos and videos.
Current prices of the editions, packs and add-ons are on the pricing page. You order add-ons through support.
How editors and storage are counted
- Every account in the panel counts as an editor, including your own. Only Visualbook’s technical support account is left out. In the Designer edition you can therefore have one account – yours.
- Once you reach the account limit, you can’t create a new user in the panel. To buy another editor, write to support. See Invite an editor.
- To see how much space your files take, open Overview → Files overview and look at Storage Info. See Files and storage.
Questions and answers
Can I access my content without Visualbook?
Yes. In the panel you can download a static export of the whole manual – a working copy of the site that you can upload to any standard web server. See Static export.
Can I change the edition later?
The edition follows who we invoice. If that changes – say the client takes the manual over – talk to support.
