Visualbook roadmap

Here is what we are working on for early 2027. Further down you will find what we released this year. Treat the timing as a guide: as soon as a feature is ready, it shows up in the changelog.

    Passkey sign-in

    Sign in to the Panel with your fingerprint, Face ID or Windows Hello. No password that could be guessed or phished. A passkey also works as the second step of two-factor sign-in.

    Live editor

    See your unsaved changes right in the manual, not just on the page you are editing. A new colour or typeface flows through the whole site in the preview. Visitors see the change only once you publish it.

    Automatic backups

    Every night after a day with changes, a backup is stored with an independent European provider. In three forms: an offline site for your computer, a site ready to upload via FTP and an export for AI. Once a month you get an email summarising what changed.

    10× more storage

    Ten times more room for files in every edition: from 100 MB to 1 GB, from 300 MB to 3 GB. Videos, print-ready PDFs and source files all fit right into the manual.

  6. 05In development

    A new foundation: Kirby 6

    Visualbook 7 runs on Kirby 6. The Panel moves from Vue 2, which has reached end of life, to Vue 3, and its core is rewritten in TypeScript. Less code loads when you first open it, it re-renders less while you type, and it only renders HTML that is trusted.
