Visualbook 6.2.0

A more reliable static and AI export: custom online tools work in the downloaded export too, ZIPs are smaller and links in the static website lead where they should. You still generate exports in the Panel under Settings → Exports. On top of that: a clearer file overview, a new tip in the manual check, animated section previews, a faster Panel and search, more accurate Analytics and more dependable work with languages.

Static and AI export9

  • Exports stay in the Panel — you generate the static export (Online and Offline) and the export for AI agents under Settings → Exports as before. An improved engine runs underneath.
  • Custom online tools work in the export too — in an Offline export opened straight from disk and in an Online export on any hosting, in Chrome, Firefox and Safari, including fonts, downloading results and tools with several pages. Each tool is a single file in the export, with no needless copies of its files. The tool check in the Panel warns you when a tool uses something that might not work in the export.
  • Smaller ZIPs — the static export no longer contains a second copy of all files, leftovers of renamed pages, account profile pictures or unused thumbnail sizes.
  • The export contains only published content — files of work-in-progress drafts no longer get into it, even when an editor has just opened them in the Panel.
  • Password-protected pages stay protected in the static export too, including previews of their images.
  • More reliable links in the static website — links between pages in the second language lead to the right address, and download buttons in the Offline export really download the file instead of opening it in the browser.
  • The error page of the static website is always in the manual’s default language.
  • Adobe Fonts in the export — when the manual uses Adobe Fonts, the card in Settings → Exports shows previews of these fonts and explains that the static export loads them from Adobe online and the AI export does not contain the font files.
  • The AI export card on the home page is gone; the AI connector keeps the manual’s content available to AI tools and the overview for AI (llms.txt) links to it.

Manual check4

  • New tip: header buttons have insufficient contrast against the header colour or image — even for brands with their own header. The link leads straight to Design → Colours.
  • More visible highlighting of the field the tip points to.
  • Exceeded storage is reported as “You are over the storage limit”, not as “almost at the limit”.
  • The translation check covers more texts — labels and help texts of download files, help texts of buttons and link cards, card titles and labels, before/after image captions, the logo’s “What to avoid” rules and the block heading in a font section. It warns you when a text is the same as in the primary language. Previously the check silently skipped them because of the field name.

File overview2

  • “Largest first” sorting — one button sorts files by size so you can see right away what takes up the most space. The choice applies to search and “Load more” too.
  • The “Unused” toggle has a label on a narrow screen too.

Panel12

  • Animated previews in the “Choose a section type” dialog — each tile shows in a short animation what the section looks like on the website. In the Panel’s dark mode the previews have a dark look.
  • A green “Add new section” button on the page, as prominent as “Create new page”.
  • Theme switch with a label — the button in the header shows “Light theme” or “Dark theme”. On a phone the header buttons show only icons so they fit.
  • Edit history is no longer lost during maintenance or a Visualbook update. Automatic events appear in History and in the e-mail report under “Visualbook (automatic)”.
  • The report toggle in your account shows “On / Off” in the Panel’s language.
  • Side navigation settings — navigation and font size sit side by side.
  • The explanation of the public MCP server is clearer, as a note under the toggles.
  • The Panel loads faster — the browser remembers its files and downloads them again only after an update. After a Visualbook update it runs entirely in the new version right away, including the text editor, the “Getting started” guide, the logo background and Analytics.
  • Animations in the card preview fill the whole preview area, without empty bars at the sides.
  • The card preview and the storage usage indicator refresh within an hour at the latest, not after two and a half days.
  • The “Getting started” guide highlights the step even for a section that loads more slowly.
  • “Exclude this logo from the slideshow” for every logo — the toggle sits under “Hide page in Visualbook search?” in every background mode, not only in the universal one. The logo then does not cross-fade on the Logos page card or on the sub-brand card.

Website10

  • Cards with animation have clean corners — a thin dark line no longer shows through at the top corners of page, logo, font and colour cards.
  • Icons on the main cards (lock, page group, external link) are now translucent glass in the card’s tone — light on a light image, dark on a dark one — and no longer glow like a white circle on dark cards.
  • Animations on cards in the second language always show, even when you edit, say, the image description of the animation in the Panel.
  • Clicking in “On this page” scrolls to the right section and opens the accordion for all sections, including those where it used to fail.
  • Adobe Fonts after an update — the website no longer stays on the fallback font for good after a Visualbook update.
  • A faster website with a connected AI connector — a connected AI tool no longer clears the cached pages every 15 minutes, so the website does not have to be rebuilt.
  • An empty accordion and font section show a message in all languages, and the carousel arrows have screen-reader labels in the manual’s language.
  • Single-letter prepositions in Slovak too — in a Slovak manual, prepositions and conjunctions (a, i, k, o, s, u, v, z) no longer stay at the end of a line, just like in Czech. In both languages this now applies in table cells and in the website’s fixed texts, such as buttons and labels, as well.
  • The “External link” page leads straight to the link target; it used to send the visitor to the home page. A password-protected link does not reveal its target.
  • The “Not found” page in the visitor’s language — in the manual’s second language, the text and the “Back to home” button are in that language and the button leads to its home page.
  • Search does not reveal the content of locked pages — you find a locked page only by its title (with a lock); the text and sections inside appear in the results only after the password is entered.
  • A manual behind the global password — after signing out, the browser’s Back button no longer shows a protected page, and we strengthened protection against probing for existing addresses without the password.
  • The overview for AI (llms.txt) stops listing a deleted or hidden page right away, not an hour later.
  • Passwords of locked pages stay — a Visualbook update no longer deletes a password you set on pages after moving to Visualbook 6. Settings from Visualbook 5 are still converted automatically.
  • Faster search after editing content — the first search after a change in the manual no longer waits several seconds; results refresh in the background. Locking, unlocking or deleting a page shows in search immediately.
  • Unlocking a page by e-mail in the second language too — after sending the e-mail the visitor gets to the code field and receives the e-mail with the code in the page’s language.
  • Protected files stay protected — when a link to a file protected by a password or e-mail cannot be prepared, the button shows “The file can’t be downloaded right now”, never a public link.
  • A protected font package in a font section does not reveal the file list or the password in the page source. The files are prepared for download only after unlocking.
  • Server helper files (settings and logs) are not accessible from the web.

Languages2

  • A logo on a colour or image background carries over between languages — shared item settings (such as the background colour) are the same in both languages; only the labels differ.
  • Lists keep their order in both languages — reordering list items in one language no longer mismatches labels and images in the other. The translation check and automatic translation pair items reliably.

AI connector (MCP)3

  • System settings are read-only — the AI connector cannot change language settings, users, the home page, search or the error page. Changing language settings would otherwise trigger a conversion of the whole manual.
  • Stricter list checks — the AI connector writes lists (such as hotspots on an image or logo rules) only row by row and enforces the same rules in them as the Panel.
  • A page check includes its sections — the AI connector reports untranslated texts and manual-check tips from the page’s sections too, not just from its own fields.

Analytics15

  • More reliable counting — visits and downloads are no longer lost or counted twice, even when many people come to the website at once. Statistics are counted for all six languages of the manual. Each page and each device has a single record per day; earlier duplicate records are merged into one during the update and the totals do not change.
  • More accurate numbers — the home page is no longer inflated by the browser preloading it. Page sections, links to other websites and internal pages that the website only redirects are not counted either. A locked page counts only for a visitor who unlocked it. Reloading the landing page no longer increases the number of visits from the referring website.
  • Devices without bots — bots and AI agents are no longer counted as mobiles. They have their own chart, and a device that cannot be recognised goes under “Other”. Scripts without a browser identification count as bots.
  • Visits by language and source add up — each visit is attributed to the right language, and the sources chart distinguishes search engines, social networks and websites. The total in the pages table and in the traffic chart is the same.
  • A visit after midnight belongs to the new day. Analytics shows visits from the last few minutes too, without slowing the website down for visitors.
  • Traffic stays with a page after renaming — after you change a page’s address, move it or switch the manual’s main language, Analytics still shows the page’s full history. For manuals that switched their main language earlier, the history is found automatically. Download statistics no longer shorten the names of pages that start with a number (“2025-rebranding”).
  • Downloads by page — files with the same name on different pages (say logo.pdf for two brands) each have their own row with the page name in the downloads overview. Downloading a colour palette on a content page is counted too.
  • Analytics in the Panel’s language — dates, months, chart axes and table sorting follow the Panel’s language, in all six languages. Chart labels are translated and “Home” always has its name in the Panel’s language.
  • More reliable filters — when you switch language, period or brand quickly, the numbers of the last selection always show. “Last 30 days” ends today. The language filter is only on tabs where it changes something, so not on devices and sources.
  • Sorting by page or link name in tables works.
  • Link to a tab — the Analytics address remembers the open tab, so you can send a link straight to, for example, Sources.
  • Chart colours for people, bots and AI agents match in all Panel languages.
  • A language the manual no longer has — its visits stay in the chart and table with an “(inactive)” label as long as it has data in the selected period.
  • Saving status — below the filters you can see when statistics were last saved and whether an error occurred while saving. If visits stop being saved, Analytics tells you.
  • On the day of the update, people who visited the website before it are counted once more (the anonymous visitor recognition changes). This is not a real increase in traffic. Earlier numbers stay as they were.
