Visualbook 6.3.1
Dark mode and faster password-protected manuals. Visitors can switch the manual to dark mode, and a password-protected manual loads faster while browsing.
Dark mode10
- Dark mode for your manual is switched on on the Design page in the new Dark mode tab. Visitors then see a sun and moon button in the header and switch the manual to suit them. Their choice is remembered in the browser.
- The default greyscale palette is easy to read. You can set the colour of links and primary buttons for dark mode separately in the brand colours.
- The header with the logo, the large cards on the home page and custom online tool pages stay unchanged. Logos, icons and images are shown on their original background.
- Editing directly on the website works in dark mode too, including the windows for inserting links, files, images and icons.
- Sections fine-tuned for dark mode: the download menu in the colour swatches, the contrast check with colour picker, the font preview, styles, glyphs, info and tester, the steps of the creation process, the logo detail with format hints, code blocks in text and the window for connecting an AI agent.
- Links in text stand out more in dark mode and are underlined on hover. Buttons and sliders follow the button colour for dark mode.
- The active menu item and the active format in the text editor are clearly highlighted in dark mode. Yes/no icons in the logo format and font usage tables are greyscale in dark mode.
- Cards, notes and tips have a more distinct surface in dark mode; note texts, section descriptions, sound captions and Before/After comparisons are easier to read and the active breadcrumb item is lighter.
- Icons are not recoloured in dark mode. In the icon window the canvas with the icon stays as in light mode and the rest of the window is dark.
- Notes and tips have the same spacing above and below the text.
Logo2
- The Light and Dark background tabs above the logo are slightly taller.
- The minimum logo size box has icons spaced further from the text and a smaller left margin.
Email signature1
- Every recipient sees the logo and images in your email signature, even when the page with the signature is locked with a password or an email domain. This applies to PNG, JPG, GIF (including animated), WebP and SVG images in the Files field of the Email signature section. These images are therefore public, as the field help also says. All other files on the page stay protected.
Editing on the website1
- Editor windows and colour download buttons no longer show a blue outline after a click. When using the keyboard, a frame in the button colour appears.
Search1
- The matched term in search results is highlighted in purple, in both light and dark mode.
Speed2
- A password-protected manual loads faster while browsing. After signing in, the browser keeps images and fonts for as long as the sign-in is valid, so they appear immediately on the next page, without flickering or reloading the font. The stored files stay only in the browser of the visitor who entered the password.
- Videos and audio recordings on password-protected pages start right away without downloading the whole file first, and you can seek through them in every browser, including Safari.
Cards1
- Icons on cards in the Cards and Cards with image sections and on logo cards (lock, external link, multibrand) are now semi-transparent glass, just like on the main cards: light on a light image or background, dark on a dark one. The icon no longer glows like a white circle on a photo.
Fonts1
- The Font usage table in the administration shows full font and usage names even on a narrow screen. When the columns don't fit, the table scrolls sideways.
Panel5
- You can tell a section's status by the eye. In the list of sections on a page and in the section header, a public section has a green eye and a draft a crossed-out red eye.
- The status “Active” is now called Public, in all Panel languages.
- The translation check shows what to translate. Clicking a page or section with untranslated texts opens it in the translation language on the right tab and briefly outlines the untranslated field. In tables (list of downloadable files, font usage) only the cells that need translation are outlined.
- Highlighting in the manual check flashes the same way for all items, whether it is the favicon, the logo, the brand name or a translation.
- Strikethrough line preview. On the Design page in the Other tab you now see two crossed-out samples, a logo and an image, next to the line strength option. The line thickness changes as soon as you choose it, even before saving.
